Parvin’s Team to Be Renamed ‘Capital Reds’

TEHRAN, September 2 (Mehr News Agency) – New football team of Ali Parvin, Azarbaijan, will be renamed ‘Capital Reds’.

Legal procedures for changing the name are underway.

Parvin’s men are training on pitch No. 2 of Shahid Shiroudi Stadium, central Tehran.

Azarbaijan will meet the Zanjan-based Persepolis in Shiroudi Stadium on September 9.

Following hiring Croat Vingo Begovic as the new manager of popular Tehrani side Persepolis on July 11, a row emerged between Parvin, some pro-Parvin players and the club managing director Akbar Ghamkhar.

Despite several invitations by the club, Parvin preferred to quit and coach a new team.

Begovic was the manager of Foulad of Khuzestan, southern Iran, in the last season.

Reza Shahroudi and Behzad Dadashzadeh have in mind to join new team of former manager of Persepolis Ali Parvin, Azarbaijan, within the next days.

Former goalkeeper and defender of Persepolis, Davoud Fanaei and Ali Ansarian, have also expressed their willingness to sign for Azarbaijan.
